Do a clean uninstall after the reboot and error should go away. The easiest way around this is to reboot or force quit out of java32.exe. This error comes up whenever you fail to uninstall or force quit out of a Java install. Then delete the new admin account but keep the files associated with the account. After installing Java on the admin account, try logging back into the regular account and verifying the install was successful.

The MSI installer looks in the wrong place when trying to grab the msi/cab files because its a 32 bit program on a 64 bit OS. Other people were able to do registry tweaks or joining the 圆4 install location and the x86 install location. If you still receive the errors, I was able to fix the problem by creating a new admin account, logging into that and installing the Java software. This workaround is clunky and inconvenient, though, and Java 7's EOL is coming up sooner rather than later. Then they have a functioning Java 7.X so they can use Java web apps. The sort-of solution we've found is to unjoin it from the domain, delete the Java folders (shift-delete), run CCleaner registry cleaner, install Java 7.X (both 32 and 64-bit), reboot. On further investigation, there is a Java folder in Programs folder, but Java is not listed in Programs and Features and there is a 50/50 shot of it being listed in Control Panel for configuration.Īnd speaking of 50/50, this is only happening on half of the new workstations, all of which are identical models. This is happening on both the regular install and Ninite installer. Say okay (since nothing Java should be installed yet) and it fails again, returning error 1603. Setting new workstations for clients and installing Java returns an error saying it needs to close jp2launcher.exe twice. I just ran into this error the other day and am still fighting it to some degree.
